MINUTES: CONGREGATIONAL MEETING
November 23, 2008


Call To Order:
The meeting was called to order at 9:30 a.m. by President Darrell Paske.

Opening Prayer:
Pastor Gunderman led us in prayer.

Presentation of Candidates (Denny Holmen):
President: Darell Paske (1 year term)
Vice President: Carol Smith (1 year term)
Treasurer: Colleen Both (1 year term)
Secretary: Rick Jensen (1 year term)
Congregational Life: Jean Kraft (3 year term)
Education: Cheryl Peterson ( 3 year term)
Outreach: Erin Karlgaard (3 year term)
Nominating Committee: Chrisa Kraus, Bev Siemens, Karen Raguse (1 year term)
Foundation: Tom Larson, Tim Bergin (3 year term)
Synod Assembly: Jean Halland, Jennie Pelowski, Dagny Trucano (1 year term)

Motion:    
Call for vote by show of hands made by Lois Jensen and seconded by Michael Edmunds.

Vote:    
Unanimous approval of candidates as presented.

Stewardship Committee Report (Tim Bergin):
Stewardship forums, to inform members about our financial status, have gone very well. Further discussions will be held in January of 2009. Tim reminded us that pledge cards really help in the budgeting process and asked all to please turn in their pledges. A mortgage retirement campaign is being considered. The Stewardship Committee is in need of people to be a part of this process. Also, “Simply Giving” was discussed. Tim emphasized that it is a very good way to give consistently.

Next Meeting:
President Paske announced that the next Congregational Meeting (to set the 2009 budget) will be held after the second service on January 25, 2009.
