MINUTES: CONGREGATIONAL MEETING
November 18, 2007
The meeting was called to order by President Dave Brabec at 9:35 a.m.
Prayer:
Pastor Joan led us in prayer.
Approval of Minutes:
Minutes of the 1-28-2007 Congregational Meeting and the 10-28-2007 Special Congregational Meeting to elect Call Committee members were approved. M/S/P (Darrell Paske/Evelyn Brabec).
Presentation of Candidates:
Nominating Committee member Wes Anderson presented the following nominees:
President--Darrell Paske
Vice President--Carol Smith and Dick Peterson
Secretary--Dennis Holmen
Treasurer--Tim Bergin
Property--John Wallin and Tom Larson
Synod Assembly Voting Members: Carolyn Blanck, Duane Blanck and Chuck Nielsen
Foundation--Bill Nemitz, Bob Warneke and Dick Carlson
Nominating Committee--Jennifer Pelowski, Jean Halland and Dagny Trucano
Nominations were called for from the floor and, none being heard, nominations were closed.
M/S/P (Jim Eitrheim/Jeanyne Hess).
President Brabec thanked outgoing Nominating Committee members Marvel Ring, Wes Anderson and Kari Campion for their service. He also thanked Mary Backlund, outgoing Treasurer, and John Wallin (if not elected), outgoing Property Chair, for their services.
Special Request:
John Wallin asked to speak and offered his personal thoughts regarding the election.
Voting:
Ballots were distributed and voting completed. Election results:
