As its name implies, Fifty Plus is Church of the Cross's senior citizen group. It usually meets at noon on the third Friday of each month for a pot-luck meal, fellowship and a program. Attendance ranges from 50 to more than 100.

Fifty Plus began in 1988, when Del and Bev Fischer were of great help in organizing the programming.

By now it enjoys its own traditions . . like lutefiek for the December meeting, and the July picnic at Wes and Lorrie Anderson's home on Round Lake. Also, the meeting time may change occasionally; recently well over 100 people enjoyed a Friday evening potluck and then attended a wonderful concert in our Celebration Center, part of the annual Nisswa "Stamman" or Scandinavian Folk Music Festival.

Newcomers are welcome to join us at any time. There are no membership dues or fees. You need only "come with a smile, there's always plenty of food."
