INTERFAITH HOSPITALITY NETWORK
IHN is a great opportunity to serve the less fortunate in the community, especially those temporarily in need of housing, meals and job-search support. A cooperative venture among about 14 area churches, it requires the following volunteers for one week about every three months. If you see a place where you can help, please give the coordinator a call.
Set Up and Take DownTo be available Sunday morning to set up cots and make beds, etc. We may have additional set-up during the week if new families enter the program. Take down on the following Sunday. Chrisa Kraus is the coordinator at 963-7704.
Evening Meals
Prepare and serve the evening meal around 5:30 and clean up kitchen. Usually eat with the guests and evening hosts. Depending on the number of guests, we may require two families preparing this meal. Ron Thorson is the coordinator at 562-5292.
Evening Hosts
Open the church at 4:30 and welcome guests. Eat with the guests and stay until 7 pm. Help guests prepare lunches. Deb Roberts is the coordinator at 963-7404.
Activities
Plan special events, art, crafts and games for families. May furnish DVDs. Be at church from 7 to 9 pm. Marilyn Wottreng is the coordinator at 251-7754.
Overnight Host
Spend the night at the church. Wake guests for breakfast. Arrive at Church at 9 pm and stays until 7 am. Dick Peterson is the coordinator at 963-4859.
Breakfast Hosts
Arrive at church at 6:30 am and help guests prepare a cold breakfast. On Saturday we prepare a hot breakfast. Linda Brandon is the coordinator at 568-5898.
