MUSIC AT LCC
SENIOR CHOIR (photo)
The Senior Choir at Church of the Cross is an
outstanding musical ensemble. Anyone high school age
and older who loves to sing is invited to join. Choir
members feel they can enhance the worship through the
music they sing and that they can also witness to their
faith through their singing. Like Luther, they believe
that next to the Word of God music is of prime
importance.
Except in the summer, the choir practices in its new rehearsal room on Wednesday
evenings from 7:00 until 8:15. It sings 1st, 3rd and
5th Sundays at the 8:15 service and 2nd and 4th Sundays
at the 10:30 service. Please contact the
church office (963-2564)
so the choir director may contact you.
Sarah Aamot-Lundin is the Senior Choir director, bringing to the position
a wealth of experience and an enviable reputation in choral music. She
is also the director of the acclaimed Legacy Chorale.
Donna Trapp (825-7066) is the council person who provides liason to our Worship and Music committee.
BELL CHOIR (photos)
Lutheran Church of the Cross has one adult handbell choir, Bells of Praise. The choir rehearses on Wednesdays from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. from
September to May and plays during worship services on occasion. If interested, please
email the church office or phone 963-2564.
Donna Trapp directs the Bells of Praise. She has been interested
in musical instruments and performance since learning how to play the piano as a
child. A registered nurse by profession, she is a pianist, organist and guitarist and
sings in the senior choir. She began directing the Bells of Praise in
1999.
CATHY TAYLOR, ORGANIST
