Starting in June of 2007, and several times since, we have hosted guests through the Interfaith Hospitality Network. Our coordinators in this enterprise have included Keith Both (transportation), Ron and Sandy Thorson (evening meal), JoAnne Dayton (breakfast), Kate Carlson (activities), Dick Peterson (overnight hosts), Deb Roberts (evening hosts) and Christa and Harold Krause (set-up and take-down). For the entire family, our Children's Ministry Team has prepared a list of suggested Bible readings for 2008. Click here to see them. On Sunday mornings, we now use the new Evangelical Lutheran Worship (ELW) as our hymnbook and service book. We're looking for young people who can design Sunday bulletin covers. Please contact Tammy Hedlund if interested. Learn all about our Memorial Garden. Any Tuesday from 10 until 2, you may visit our Computer Resource Center at the east end of our Sunday School corridor, classroom #5. Contact Lyle Amundson with your ideas for making this facility truly useful to the LCC church family. Click here for an archive of church council minutes. Though it has been active in the Brainerd Lakes area since 1986, presently there are about 60 children between ages 5 and 15 who are waiting for an adult mentor. If you can spare a couple hours a week for this rewarding activity, please call 829-4606 iin Brainerd (568-4015 in Pequot Lakes) and join a discussion in Chapel Hall at 9:30 on Sunday morning, February 12th. Likewise, if you would like to provide occasional relief to an over-taxed care giver, call the Lutheran Social Services respite service center in Crosslake at 218/692-1964.
