WHO ARE WE?
We're a growing and friendly 1600-member congregation of the ELCA with great youth and music programs. We accept and advocate basic definitions of Christianity and Lutheranism. Our members include young and old, working and retired, year-round and seasonal. Click to see a brief history of our congregation, a few members' email addresses, a list of new members, or photos of our facilities.

WHERE ARE WE?
We're just east of hiway #371 at the Sportland corner (#371 at hiways #13 and #77). That's 1.6 miles south of Nisswa and 11.6 miles north of hiway #210 in Brainerd. Here's one map, plus a Google map and satellite view.

WHAT DO WE DO?
Check events to see our busy calendar. And click service to see how we've organized to meet the needs of our congregation as, for example, through our Friends-In-Deed project. We are a corporate sponsor of Luther Crest Bible Camp. There are lots of photos in our website. Click here to find them.

WHAT'S NEW?
Saturday worship: You can now join us for worship and communion at 5:30 p.m. any Saturday.

Parents of children ages 3 thru 6th grade are encouraged to register their child(ren) as soon as possible for the upcoming 2009/2010 Sunday School season. Registration forms are available on the bulletin board outside the Children's Ministry office or by clicking here. On the form you will see something new. Children ages 8 and older are now eligible to participate in Communion classes at Lutheran Church of the Cross. Fifth grade students are automatically enrolled in this class. Please check the box at the bottom of the registration form if you would like your child enrolled. We are very excited about the new Augsburg Fortress Lutheran SPARK curriculum and can't wait to see your child(ren) in the fall. Thanks for helping us get a jump start on the new year.

Here's a photo of the recent Summer Stretch group and pictures from the Volunteer Appreciation Dinner.

Plan ahead. Start reading "Three Cups of Tea" by Greg Mortenson. We'll discuss it on August 5 as part of our "Great Summer Reads" program.

Coming soon . . WELCA will partner with Lutheran World Relief to promote fair trade coffee, Divine Chocolate and other products which promote the dignity of the farmers who grow them.

If you're out of town or can't attend church, you can still see each Sunday's worship bulletin by clicking here. The Saturday bulletin is here. And here is the complete July newsletter. You may need the free Adobe Flash Player to read them. Download it here.

Our pastors have long posted their sermons online. Click here to read them.
