Prayer Ministry at LCC
Prayer
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:6-7
Prayer is one of the key practices of Discipleship. Prayer is a way that we are connected and communicate with God. Prayer is an ongoing dialogue with God and an important way we grow in our faith. We come to God in prayer just as we are and with all the emotions. God wants to hear prayers of thanksgiving and praise, hurts and struggles, doubts and fears and prayers that we say for each other and our neighbor. Prayer is an exercise of faith and hope.

Prayer Shawl Ministry
Prayer shawls are shawls made by members of the congregation that are given away by the church to persons who particularly need to feel wrapped in love and prayers. For example, a prayer shawl may be given to someone who has experienced a loss, someone who is in treatment for cancer or dealing with another illness and someone who just needs to feel God’s love and be wrapped in the love and prayers of those who made the prayer shawl. If you would like to join the team that makes Prayer Shawls at LCC please contact Colleen Both at [email protected]. The group gathers on Mondays at 1:00 – 2:30 in the Fireside Room.
Please note that we are not able to ship prayer shawls. Contact our church office for more information or to request a pastoral visit.
