Rummage Sale Donation Drop Off Days/Times
We will accept donations on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:30am - 4pm.
Last day to donate items is August 29, 8:30am - 2:00pm.

Prime Timers Potluck
The third annual Prime Timers Potluck will be held at Jim & Joan Roberts’ home on Roy Lake. Sign up on the clipboard in the narthex if you plan to attend - we can accommodate up to 48 people. Bring a dish to share; brats, plates, silverware, and beverages provided. Parking is at a premium so please carpool from the church parking lot. Rain date is July 10.
Summer Women's Bible Study
In “Jesus & Women in the First Century and Now,” Biblical culturalist Kristi McLelland will transport us back to Jesus' world, stepping into the footsteps of the women who came face to face with the living God. Join us in examining the historical and cultural climate of first-century Middle Eastern society to not only understand Jesus more deeply, but also fuel our worship of Him today.
Book costs $25 and includes video access. Sign up in the church office.

Good Gifts & Blessing of the Animals Sunday
Our Women of the ELCA/Women of the Cross will host this annual event. Pets must be leashed or kenneled. If 10:30am outdoor worship is moved indoors due to inclement weather, please bring a picture of your pet to worship, as no pets are allowed in the sanctuary.

People for Racial Justice visit to The Northwest Indian Community Development Center (NICDC)
On Monday, June 29 we will leave LCC at 7:00am and return by mid to late afternoon. This day trip to Bemidji will allow us the opportunity to learn how NWICDC “imbeds Indigenous worldviews and values with Western methodology to braid concepts of inclusion, equity, opportunity, wellness and self-sufficiency to advance a just and supportive society.” We will carpool and eat breakfast and lunch on the road. Bring a Pillow to Church Sunday
Our Women of the ELCA/Women of the Cross are visiting Salem West in Deerwood on July 22 and would like to bring pillows to help Salem West in their efforts to supply household goods to families in need.

Gather Bible Study
Join us for Session One of "I AM WORTHY." Join leader Marie Olness and begin with the story of creation and explore scripture that has been used to undermine, silence and degrade women; then discover how the same passages can be read as invitations to new freedom, community and vocation for people, as we are all created in God's image.
Outdoor Worship in the Memorial Garden
Worship in the great outdoors in our beautiful Memorial Garden at 10:30am. Bring your own chair or blanket for this service which is led by Redemption Road.
YOUTH MISSION TRIP
Our youth will travel to Decorah Iowa for a week of service and learning. We will bless them at our 9am service as they begin their journey.
PrimeTimers
In June, our own Janet Bedard will be our presenter, joined by Dr. Roger Macy. Janet's husband George, a retired Physics professor, lived with dementia for 10 years in their home on Lake Hubert. Janet will share her experiences and will discuss how open communication about end-of-life will offer moments of joy for both the care-giver and care-receiver. Janet and Dr. Macy’s presentation will include interactive resources that will enlighten all in attendance. You won't want to miss this personal and poignant event. Bring your own bagged lunch; beverages and dessert will be provided.
SUMMER STRETCH
We will volunteer at Nordic Woods Assisted Living in the morning, then have Sub Sandwiches for a picnic lunch at Whipple Beach followed by beach fun!
Pick Up Choir
All are welcome to join us for a rehearsal at 8:15am - pieces will be familiar and easy to sing - and we will share special music during worship services.
SUMMER STRETCH
We will be helping with VBX at LCC and then enjoy tacos and games in the afternoon.
At The Table VBX
We will meet Monday through Thursday, 9am to 12n. On Thursday, all families are welcome to join us for a lunch at 12noon. Our theme for the week is the story of the Walk to Emmaus. There is no charge for this event.
Pollinator Sunday
Join us as we recognize Pollinator Sunday - Led by the NE MN ELCA synod's EcoFaith Network, the event celebrates the critical role of pollinators and encourages congregations to establish local "Pollinator Sanctuaries" like the one at LCC.

Senior Recognition Sunday
Our graduating HS Seniors will be honored during Coffee Fellowship and recognized (along with their parents) at our 10:30am worship service.

Creation Care Forum - Paul Douglas
Meteorologist Paul Douglas will present with a focus on the weather changes already taking place in the Brainerd Lakes area, examination of the current trends, and summarization of the current scientific understanding of these changes. Paul will discuss the implications of this slow-motion transformation for the lakes we love, as well as the flora and fauna that share the great Up North with us.

Last Worship on Wednesday
Our 5th -9th graders will meet at The Outreach Program of Brainerd Lakes at 5:30pm for a food pack with pizza supper afterwards. Parents: please drop kids off at the Outreach building at 5:20pm or so and pick up following worship, 7:15pm - 7:30pm.
New Member Gathering
We will meet in Celebration Center for supper; our staff and Council will introduce themselves and we will enjoy fellowship together.
