Lutheran Church of the Cross is an ELCA congregation nestled in the heart of the Brainerd Lakes Area. With over 1,570 members and an average weekly worship attendance of around 420, we gather in traditional and contemporary services that both honor our faith heritage and welcome fresh expressions of worship.

We are called to welcome all people into discipleship with Jesus Christ through prayer, Scripture, worship, service, stewardship, and hospitality. We share a living, daring confidence in God’s grace, embracing each person fully—questions, complexities, and all.
What We Do Together
Sunday mornings, we meet for worship in person and online at 9:00 AM, with Communion each week. Our children, youth, and adults are invited into friendly, faith-filled programs all year long. From September through May, Wednesdays bring a contemporary worship experience, shared meal, and vibrant learning opportunities for kids and adults alike.
